Dear pricemc,

Three years ago today was one of the last days of the season where it was warm enough to go for a walk outside after dinner. And it was the last day where I'd find myself without you - although I didn't know it.

After three years of unconditionally loving you, I can say I've learned a lot. Like, you hate pickles but love BBQ chicken in your mac-n-cheese. Your favorite color is either blue or green at any given time (but it changes between the two a lot). You're the very embodiment of your zodiac (Cancer), and even though I'm TECHNICALLY an Aries, my Pisces nature makes us a good fit (according to some astrology bloggers).

I've learned a lot about myself through you, too. Like, I prefer being the little spoon, and I don't mind a snoring snuggle-buddy as much as I thought I would. I look pretty good in pictures (especially the ones you take of me). I am more comfortable with my body than I've ever been, because you never stopped calling me beautiful, even when I fought you tooth and nail. I learned that depression often comes in twos or threes, and a perfect relationship doesn't need to be two mentally healthy people. We can be happy together even if we struggle together.

But more important than what I've learned is how we've grown, together. We used to be small and scared and awkward, emotional teens, and here we are, legally allowed to smoke and vote and drink (in some countries), still full of love and adoration for each other. And I'm not scared anymore, because I know that you and I are a force to be reckoned with. We are strong on our own and stronger together.

You are my best friend on earth, and the best thing that could've ever happened to me. Even though we are 1,046.4 miles apart, I still love you like we never left home, and that's not changing anytime soon.

Here's to us. To three of the happiest years of my life, to our fourth lap around the sun together, and to the lifetime of happiness I hope I'm lucky enough to share with you.
